Our company philosophies centre around our dedication to preserving the biodiversity of our rivers, wetlands, and mountain ecosystems. Through interpretive discussion on all of our river tours, 7 Canyons fuses learning and fun to deliver a tourism product that leaves guests with wide smiles and a broader appreciation of our precious natural resource - the Columbia River. This could be the reason why 7 Canyons Adventures was nominated for Tourism BC's Environmentally Responsible Tourism Award in 2007.
To put our company's "talk" into "walk", 2007 also saw the launch of the Pass It On! Program. 7 Canyons Adventures has partnered with local conservation group Wildsight to give guests a chance to participate in conserving the very river environment they are enjoying. Every guest that comes out on one of our river tours is offered a Pass It On Voucher when they leave. As they go back to their hotels, homes, and workplaces, they are encouraged to pass the voucher along to someone they think would enjoy one of our tours. For every voucher that makes it back to 7 Canyons, $5 is donated to Wildsight to further their work on protecting the biodiversity of the Columbia Valley river basin. It is the hope of 7 Canyons Adventures that our example will encourage other people and businesses to respect and help conserve our fragile waterways and the ecosystems that revolve around them. I'm sure the frogs will agree, actions speak louder than words. Pass it on...
