Although Alison grew up in southern Ontario, Ali’s heart has always been in the mountains. With both parents involved in the travel industry, she brings a lifetime of tourism-based knowledge to Columbia River Safaris. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce in 1996 and immediately headed for the hills! After working for several years as a hiking guide in the Rockies and the Columbia Mountains, Ali settled in Golden. Her adventures in climbing, mountaineering, skiing, and paddling have taken her all over Canada and the western United States. In the warmer months Ali, like most of the staff, enjoys kayaking the Kicking Horse River for her thrills… and trying to keep up with Paul!
